Bishop Lindsey Davis is our Keynote speaker for Annual Day 2008
G. Lindsey Davis, 60, assumes his new appointment as Bishop—the highest ranking authority of the Kentucky and Red Bird Conferences of the United Methodist Church, effective September 1, 2008. “We expect a larger crowd this year knowing that Bishop Davis will be delivering one of his first public speeches since returning to his home state of Kentucky,” said Rev. Randy Coy, Kentucky Methodist Homes’ President. Most recently, Davis led the Atlanta-based North Georgia Conference for twelve years. Davis spent most of his life in Kentucky and holds degrees from Union College, University of Kentucky, Lexington Theological Seminary, and Kentucky Wesleyan College.
Nearly 1,000 supporters are expected to attend this year’s Annual Day event to help raise money and awareness for the children served by the Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children and Youth. Following a complementary barbecue lunch, everyone is invited to attend a live and silent auction and take a cottage tour given by our residents.
*NOTE: Due to confidentiality, photos revealing the identity of the children are NOT permitted.
