Good Giving Challenge 2024

The GoodGiving Challenge is an annual online event that helps make giving to local nonprofits easy and fun! For four days, there is the opportunity to give to Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Homes through the GoodGiving Challenge, and your donation will have the chance to be matched! Gifts must be made through our Good Giving Challenge profile: click here to donate.

Mark your calendars for December 3rd through December 6th for an exciting time of providing for the needs of children and families.

Our Recommended Times to Give:

If you want to give a gift that doubles:

• Wednesday Dec 4 at 9 a.m. (max gift of $50 + $50 match = $100)

If you want to give a large gift:

• Wednesday Dec 4 at 12 p.m. (The first 30 nonprofits that raise $3,000 win an extra $1,000 prize!)
• Friday Dec 6 at 9 a.m. (max gift of $500 + $250 match = $750)
• Friday Dec 6 at 12:00 p.m. (max gift of $500 + $250 match = $750)

November 26 - December 3

James A. and Martha R. Brown Charitable Foundation Early Giving Match:  $50,000
November 26th 9:00 a.m.-December 3rd 8:59 a.m. (or until the pool is exhausted)

Can’t support your favorite causes during the Good Giving Challenge? Give early! This foundation is providing a $50,000 match pool that will match donations 50¢ per $1, on gifts up to $250 (maximum match $125 per gift).  

E.g.: Your gift of $250 becomes $375.

Tuesday, December 3rd

9 a.m. - 11:59 p.m.
Murry Foundation Pro Rata Match: $100,000
Each organization’s match will be calculated as a percentage of the total dollars raised on the opening day of the GoodGiving Challenge.

E.g: If $500,000 is raised that day and Organization A raises $10,000, it will receive 2% of the match pool ($2,000).

Mason Investments Happy Hours - $10,000  
4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Mason Investments will match the first $2,500 in donations, 50¢ per $1, on gifts up to $100.  

E.g.: Your gift of $100 becomes $150.

Daily Happy Hour Prizes - $500
4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
The Blue Grass Community Foundation will randomly select a donation to receive a $500 prize!

Wednesday, December 4th

9 a.m. - 11:59 a.m. (or until the pool is exhausted)
Bryant Fund Good Morning Match: $25,000
The Thomson R. Bryant Jr. and Betty R. Bryant Fund at BGCF is providing a $25,000 match pool that will match donations $1 for $1, on gifts up to $50.

E.g.: Your gift of $50 becomes $100.

Noon - 11:59 p.m.
Mitchell Family Foundation Fast Break Challenge: $30,000
The first 30 nonprofits that raise $3,000 (or more) through at least two donations will receive a $1,000 prize.

Mason Investments Happy Hours - $10,000  
Mason Investments will match the first $2,500 in donations, 50¢ per $1, on gifts up to $100.  

E.g.: Your gift of $100 becomes $150.

The Blue Grass Community Foundation will randomly select a donation to receive a $500 prize!

The Marksbury Family Foundation is matching donations 50¢ per $1, on gifts up to $500

Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund Encore Match: $100,000
Chris and Morgane Stapleton’s Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund will match donations 50¢ per $1, on gifts up to $500 (maximum $250 match per gift).

E.g.: Your gift of $500 becomes $750.
